Beaches

The north coast of Majorca is home to the most well-hidden, gorgeous beaches where you can enjoy the sun and a wide variety of water sports. There are two beaches in Port de Sóller, one on each side of the bay: Platja d’en Repic, located right in front of the hotel, with a length of 270m and very popular for its golden sand, and Platja des Través, the closest to the port.

Tramuntana mountain range

The Tramuntana mountain range is one of the island’s major tourist attractions, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011, and it’s ideal for hiking or cycling, offering a variety of routes. The long-distance GR221 that crosses the Tramuntana mountain range, also known as the ‘Ruta de la Piedra en Seco’ (Dry-stone Route), goes through the pass. Inside it is the highest peak in Majorca, Puig Major, at 1,445m.

Port de Sóller

Port de Sóller, located in the municipality of Sóller, is the only natural port on the north coast of Majorca. In addition to its beaches, you can visit the Museum of the Sea, located in the old chapel of Santa Catalina, with an interpretation centre on the history of Sóller, the Faro des Capgros lighthouse, the tramway or the Torre Picada, an old watchtower located to the northeast of the port. You can also enjoy boat trips and, of course, an attractive gastronomic and leisure selection.
